Who Let The Dog In? Pasco Sheriff, K-9 Dobies Honored By House
Pasco County Sheriff's Cpl. Christina Demas, joined by K-9 Dobies, was honored as Florida's Law Enforcement Officer of the Day.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — While it might not be unusual to see sheriff's deputies wandering the corridors of the State Capitol, it's not every day that a sheriff's K-9 gets the full attention of the Florida House of Representatives.
On March 10, just before the 2022 legislative session ended, Pasco County Sheriff's Cpl. Christina Demas and her partner, K-9 Dobies, a black Labrador retriever, were honored as Florida's Law Enforcement Officer of the Day.
Invited by Speaker Chris Sprowls, R-Palm Harbor, Demas received recognition on the floor of the Florida House for her outstanding service to her community.
