HUDSON, FL — A 27-year-old Avon Park woman was killed Monday morning when she was crossing U.S. 19. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:30 a.m., the woman was running across U.S. 19 approaching Fivay Road when she was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 27-year-old Hudson man. The woman was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.
