Woman In Wheelchair Hit, Killed While Crossing Street: FL Highway Patrol
A New Port Richey woman in a wheelchair was hit and killed by a car on U.S. Highway 19 early Saturday morning, the FL Highway Patrol said.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — A 60-year-old New Port Richey woman in a wheelchair was hit and killed while crossing U.S. Highway 19 early Saturday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
She was trying to cross the highway just before 1 a.m. despite a red pedestrian traffic signal.
She entered the path of a car driven by a 46-year-old Tampa man that was heading north on the highway, FHP said.
