Zephyrhills Woman Charged With DUI Following Wrong-Way Crash

A Zephyrhills woman has been charged with driving under the influence following a wrong-way crash that sent two people to the hospital.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A Zephyrhills woman has been charged with driving under the influence following a wrong-way crash that sent two people to the hospital Saturday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, just before midnight Joanna Kay McKenna, 48, of Zephyrhills was driving a Ford Mustang east in the westbound lane of State Road 52 east of Hays Road when she struck the front end of a Toyota Prius driven by David O'Donnell, 35, of New Port Richey.

McKenna and passenger Gina O'Donnell, 34, were taken to the Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
