No Passengers Found In Submerged New Tampa Vehicle

The Tampa Police Department is crediting three Good Samaritans for pulling a woman out of the vehicle after it went into a pond, Thursday.

Car being towed from the water this morning. Someone was watching over this young lady today. The good Samaritans who jumped in the pond to rescue her deserve a day off! :)

TAMPA, FL – The Tampa Police Department has called off its search for passengers that might have been inside a vehicle that was found submerged in a New Tampa pond Thursday morning.

According to the agency, police divers searched the pond but found no additional passengers.

The woman who was driving the vehicle was pulled out of the water by three Good Samaritans, the agency reported in an email to media. Few details about the accident are available, but police said the submerged vehicle was found in a pond at Meadow Pine Drive and New Tampa Boulevard. The woman was taken to a local hospital, the email said. Her condition and identity have not been released.

Police have not released the identities of the witnesses who dove in to save the woman.
