Burr & Forman Boosts Financial Services Litigation Practice with Tampa Addition

Tampa, Fla., September 2, 2014 2014 – Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Latasha Scott as a Tampa-based Financial Services Litigation Associate. Latasha is one of more than 20 attorneys to join Burr & Forman across its Southeastern footprint over the next several weeks, and she is the second addition by the firm in Florida this month.

Latasha’s practice includes representing financial institutions, investors, and mortgage loan servicers in residential mortgage foreclosures. She focuses in dealing with bankruptcy chapters 7 and 13, quiet title action, code enforcement, and appellate matters. In addition, her background includes experience in consumer claims against financial institutions.

Latasha earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. She also received her master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. Latasha then completed her law degree at the University of Florida.

Additionally, Latasha served in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit as an appellate law clerk to the Honorable Charles R. Wilson. Latasha also served in the United States District Court – Middle District of Florida as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas G. Wilson.
