More than just a flu shot at Winn-Dixie
Winn-Dixie Pharmacies Offer Each Customer the Right Level of Protection for Flu Season

With school back in session, more germs will be shared and carried into homes and offices, making everyone susceptible to the influenza virus. There is a way to help protect yourself and your loved ones. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports yearly vaccination provides the best protection against the flu. Winn-Dixie is now offering four convenient options for the influenza vaccine to ensure each customer receives the right level of protection.
Winn-Dixie customers can choose between the standard vaccination or an intradermal influenza vaccination administered with a microneedle that is 90 percent smaller than traditional needles. Those looking for added protection can select the high-dose option if they’re 65 and older or the Quadravalent vaccination that protects against four different strains of the virus, as compared to the standard three. Winn-Dixie pharmacies have a vaccine option for everyone, so customers can worry less about the flu and focus more on their daily lives.
“Our Winn-Dixie pharmacy offers customers a quick, convenient and friendly environment to take control of their health,” said John Fegan, pharmacy vice president for Winn-Dixie. “Our pharmacists are available to answer any questions, and to help ensure that each customer chooses the best vaccine option to help protect themselves and their families from the virus.”
