Tampa Cops To Deliver Doughnuts To Special Olympic Donors
Place your order through March 20. Delivery -- in a patrol car! -- will be March 24.

The Tampa Police Department is organizing the first of its events to benefit Special Olympics Florida-- the Doughnut Dash 2016, with order-taking underway through March 20.
Residents and businesses in the City of Tampa limits can pre-order Krispy Kremes, and officers will fill their patrol cars and deliver the doughnuts on March 24. There will even be some VIP delivery drivers for donations more than $500.
For a minimum pre-paid order of $100 (10-dozen Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts), a uniformed Tampa Police officer will deliver your doughnuts within the City of Tampa limits. Donations of $500 (600 doughnuts!) or more will be eligible for “VIP Delivery.”

Each year, law enforcement officers worldwide organize fundraising efforts to benefit Special Olympics. More than 85,000 officers from 46 nations, 12 Canadian provinces and the 50 U.S. States participate each year. Since 1981, these events have raised more than $560 million, according to organizers.
Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for people with intellectual disabilities who wish to participate, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their
families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
