• Jessica O. Prentice, 76, formerly of the North Country (northcountrynow.com) — A longtime traveler and craft enthusiast, Jessica O. Prentice passed away in Nokomis on May 7 after a long battle with cancer, at age 76. Formerly of New York’s North Country, she is remembered for her warmth, creativity, and devotion to family, and will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery.
