• Punta Gorda woman dead in North Fort Myers crash (news-press.com) — A Punta Gorda driver was killed Friday afternoon after rear-ending a stopped work van on Del Prado Boulevard in North Fort Myers, near Monta Isola Way, causing hours of traffic disruption. The North Fort Myers man driving the van suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and investigators are still working to determine exactly what led to the deadly crash.
