• Construction Continues on 'Crest on University' at 12099 University Boulevard, Orlando, FL (floridayimby.com) — A major new student housing complex, Crest on University, is rising at 12099 University Boulevard near UCF in Orlando, bringing 898 beds and resort-style amenities by fall 2027. Developed by American Campus Communities, the project will offer furnished studios through five-bedroom units, study spaces, and wellness facilities within walking distance of campus, with construction costs topping $85 million.
   

• Gator's Dockside closes its Clermont location after decades in business (orlandoshine.com) — A longtime Gator's Dockside in Clermont has closed, but the Florida-born sports bar chain is keeping several Central Florida locations open, including multiple Orlando spots. The brand, known for wings, trivia nights, and Florida-style bar food, says it will continue serving regulars in Orlando, Lake Mary, Windermere, St. Cloud, and beyond.
   

• Magical Dining launches at Arnold Palmer Hospital to support nonprofits (wftv.com) — Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital just kicked off Visit Orlando's Magical Dining program with a hands-on event for pediatric patients in its Seacrest Studios. With 188 restaurants participating through Sept. 30, the long-running dining promotion raises money for Central Florida nonprofits while giving local families and food lovers a reason to explore Orlando's restaurant scene.
