First Opportunity for Behind-the-Scenes Look at Hunger Relief is Aug. 26
WHAT:
On Wednesday, Aug. 26, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is launching ‘Food for Thought’ tours at its Brevard County distribution center as a way to help neighbors better understand hunger in their community.
During the tour, attendees will visit Second Harvest’s branch in Melbourne to see how food is collected, sorted and distributed. Attendees will also learn more about the food bank’s programs, community partnerships and the critical role volunteers, donors and other supporters play in helping provide nutritious food to neighbors experiencing hunger.

As the region’s largest emergency food provider, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is distributing enough food for 300,000 meals a day.
