Local Resident, 90, walks Cross Seminole Trail daily
At 90 years old, Tracy Norris is walking circles in people half his age

At 90 years old, Tracy Norris is walking circles in people half his age. Norris, who lives at The Watermark at Vistawilla in Winter Springs, wakes up every morning at 7am and walks the Cross Seminole Trail, adjacent to the community. He’s a regular on the trail and has come to know many of the other residents out exercising in the mornings.
For Norris, daily exercise is what keeps him healthy. Norris said his dad walked every day until he was 96 years old, and when he stopped that’s when his health declined.
“I decided then that I would walk every day, as long as I was able, to stay healthy,” said Norris.

The practice started in Norris’ younger days, when he owned two businesses next door to each other. He would walk back and forth between them constantly. When he retired and moved to Florida, he kept the routine going on the nearby trail.
Norris' daily walk totals around a mile roundtrip. It's just enough to keep him active and enjoy the beautiful community he lives in.
