Neo-Nazi Who Hung Swastika Flags From FL Bridge Charged: Officials
A neo-Nazi was arrested for hanging swastika flags and other antisemitic banners from an Orlando bridge over I-4, FL officials said.
ORLANDO, FL — A neo-Nazi demonstrator who hung swastikas and other antisemitic banners along an Orlando Bridge in June faces charges, according to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement news release.
Jason Brown, 48, of Cape Canaveral was arrested Wednesday and charged with criminal mischief for hanging the banners with swastikas and racist messages along the Daryl Carter Parkway Bridge, directly over I-4, on June 10.
He claims to be a member of the Order of the Black Sun, an antisemitic extremist group, the agency said.

There are also three outstanding arrest warrants for additional demonstrators who live out of state.
Their hanging banners from the bridge violates a newly enacted state law, FDLE said. Earlier this year, Governor Ron DeSantis signed House Bill 269, which includes provisions that prohibit people from displaying or projecting images onto a building, structure or property without permission.

“We want to thank Gov. DeSantis for his support of law enforcement and for the signing of HB 269, giving us the tools to arrest this hate-filled radical,” FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass said. “This activity will not be tolerated in the greatest state in the country, Florida.”
