Park Maitland School Donates Nearly 3,000 Gifts to Local Children

Students held a toy drive in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program

Students at Park Maitland School recently donated nearly 3,000 toys and gifts to Toys for Tots, a gift drive run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, exceeding their goal of donated 1,500 toys. Over the past two weeks, students worked together to collect a variety of toys and gifts for children of all ages. Due to the generous amount of donations, UNITS® Orlando donated a storage unit for the school to store the gifts until the end of the toy drive, when the gifts were delivered to Toys for Tots.

In addition to their toy drive, Park Maitland students hosted a food drive throughout November and collected more than 9,000 food items. The donations were distributed to Killarney Elementary School, Dramatic Education Group and One Heart for Women and Children. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of giving back and helping others in the community, especially during the holiday season.
