Over the last several weeks, residents at The Watermark at Vistawilla in Winter Springs have been working hard to bring holiday cheer to patients at Winter Park Care and Rehab. Residents and associates donated cookies over a two-week period, and eight residents gathered together to pack them for delivery.

On December 18, residents Norvelle Alderman and Barbara Matlock visited the rehab center in Winter Park to hand-deliver the holiday treats. They were taken from room to room to wish patients a Happy Holiday and personally deliver the cookies. Both the staff and residents of the center were so grateful for the visit and the treats.

The effort was one of The Watermark at Vistawilla’s Service Projects from the Heart. Each month, the assisted living and memory care community looks for ways to give back to the surrounding community. In previous months, they’ve donated supplies to the homeless population, including soaps, washcloths and tissues.
