• Palmetto man pleads guilty to illegally dumping body into ocean (wtsp.com) — A 37-year-old Palmetto resident has pleaded guilty in federal court after admitting he dumped the body of an overdose victim into the ocean while working as a ship deckhand. Prosecutors say he faces up to 15 years in prison, with sentencing set for January 20, 2027, and note he has prior state convictions for DUI and drug possession.
