"Coast Guard Sector Key West watchtanders received a call at approximately 2:30 am., from Chris Hambrock reporting he was on a small row boat with two females who reportedly jump overboard and attempted to swim to shore,"the Coast Guard said earlier on Tuesday. "He lost sight of the two women and contacted MCSO."

Robert Klepper of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission told Patch on Wednesday that the women and Hambrock jumped in the water when the rowboat started to sink. Hambrock had a larger vessel nearby.
