On this day in 1977 it snowed in sunny South Florida! Reports came in as far as Homestead Air Base, marking that as the southernmost point snow has fallen in the U.S. How was this possible? Two back to back cold fronts, along with an upper level disturbance allowed lift and moisture to produce light snow. This only lasted for about an hour and a half, but made headlines across the nation!
