1 Person Seriously Injured in Palm Harbor Hotel Fire
Pinellas County Sheriff's officials continue to investigate the Thursday afternoon blaze.

A 64-year-old Palm Harbor resident was airlifted to a local hospital following a fire at the Kings Inn Motel Thursday afternoon.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the blaze at the 34107 U.S. 19 N. hotel broke out Thursday afternoon in Room 210. Deputies were called to the scene around 3:12 p.m., an email from the sheriff’s office stated.
Walter William Manning, a resident at the hotel, was airlifted to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries due to smoke inhalation, the email said.

The fire, investigators say, appears to have begun near the door where they found discarded cigarettes, but a final determination has yet to be made.
No one else was injured and no other rooms in the motel were damaged by the fire.
