2 Seriously Injured in Westlake Boulevard Crash
The one-car accident happened early Wednesday morning.
Two people suffered serious during a Wednesday morning single-car crash on Westlake Boulevard.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2005 Nissan Altima driven by Joseph Cline, 18, of Palm Harbor was heading south on Westlake in the inside lane just after midnight. As Cline was traveling on a curve just south of Nebraska Avenue, he lost control of the car and struck a tree.
Cline and passenger Brooklyn Bridges, 18, of Tarpon Springs both suffered serious injuries and were taken to Bayfront Medical Center. Passenger Jacob Wilson, 18, of Palm Harbor was also treated at Bayfront for minor injuries.

Troopers say the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, a highway patrol media release stated.
