3 Palm Harbor Residents Injured in Weekend Crash
The accident happened Sunday afternoon on County Road 1 at Wexford Drive.

Three Palm Harbor residents are in serious condition at local hospitals following a crash Sunday, Aug. 18 on County Road 1 at Wexford Drive.
Donald William Hutwelker, 82, was driving a Chevy Venture south on County Road 1 around 4:22 p.m. Sunday when he attempted to make a left turn onto Wexford Drive, according to an email from the Florida Highway Patrol. When Hutwelker turned left, his Venture went into the path of a Suzuki motorcycle ridden by Anthony Riolo, 22, the email said.
Riolo’s motorcycle struck the passenger side of Hutwelker’s vehicle. Riolo was ejected from the bike and landed inside Hutwelker’s Venture “where he was entrapped until removed by emergency crews,” the highway patrol said.
