6 PHUH Seniors Win Merit Scholarships
An overwhelming majority of Pinellas County's recent National Merit Scholarship winners are students at Palm Harbor University High.

Six of eight recent National Merit Scholarship winners from Pinellas County attend .
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the winners May 2.
Each of the students will receive a $2,500 scholarship that can be used at any regionally accredited college or university in the U.S. The winners were selected from a pool of more than 15,000 finalists, according to the Pinellas County School District website. Judges looked at the students' academic records, leadership at school and in the community, standardized test scores and an essay.
