The imminent failure of the American Republic is being openly discussed here in our home state - here in Florida. After this cataclysmic event will our beloved state even continue to exist or will we be absorbed into some new yet unforeseen amalgam of social uncertainty and disorder?
Perhaps there is some hint of what might be given that a significant node of Communists has been located in the Washington DC. Now, I see news reports that a child has been removed from school in handcuffs. Perhaps we may will see jackboots marching down Palm Harbor Blvd. shortly? Could we soon be hearing the echoes of Bernadette Devlin’s cry to “Man the Barricades?”
Is there a common theme here? A point of mutuality? Perhaps our current situation is neatly summarized by this clip from “Cool Hand Luke?” When viewing almost any given situation, the point of view most assume is I must walk away with a win, regardless of the outcome. Or said another way, its my way or the highway.

Regrettably we are subject to numerous instances of hyperbole, where individuals present grossly exaggerated comments as if they where true. Does anyone think there are Communists afoot in Washington D.C.? No, it is highly doubtful. But it sure does make good press and helps to raise campaign contributions.
Nazis and bureaucrats afoot here in Pinellas County are most troublesome, or perhaps being required to meet norms is more troublesome. Food safety regulations are in place for a reason, which anyone who has not had food poisoning would know. Malnutrition, although certainly present in our society, is thankfully not a major public health concern in large part due to demands imposed for improvements in nutritional guidelines.
