This and that … Here and there

A pinch of this and a dash of that ... stirred together and...

Its been a while since I put anything up on line here at the Patch.  As someone, a so-called friend, asked - did you break your hand and can’t type???  Nope I’m fine, I’ve just been reading this and that and sitting back amazed at the world is all.  Enjoying sticking my nose into various different Patches.

Seems like one sheriff might have a key to the on going . Do you think it just that there might have been some collusion between different individuals in the run up to the bursting of the bubble in real estate.   Who got fleeced when the bubble broke?  The home buyer who paid an inflated price for arguably the most important single purchase they will make?  Surprisingly none of the readers of this posting have commented.  I certainly admire this sheriff for coming forward and addressing the issue.  Gee …. I got wonder what his gentlemen might do with the messes coming from London???

Seems that … you and me not going to the Trop to see a Rays game. Maybe the facility does not measure up to the expectations of the consumer, or could it be the cost of going exceeds the consumer’s willingness to pay for the product.  The comments offered by the readers are certainly most interesting.  Perhaps Mr. Selig could read and respond to them?

One thing that has been tossed around like last weeks newspaper has been the move by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to limit soda consumption. Jimmy Meyers writes in the Westchase Patch  how drinking water is healthy.  The comments from readers certainly demonstrate how they appreciate Jimmy’s expertise and knowledge.

The most prolific Patch contributor, I know of, locally is gentleman who posts in the Old Northeast Patch - “Doc” Webb.  Where you to look at almost any of Doc’s postings you’ll notice at the top of his posting a statement, .”  Doc will frequently post on his point of view regarding what is or is not happening in St. Pete.  Doc’s posting generate any number of reader comments, some agree and some disagree.  Since Doc willingly takes on hot button topics some of the reader responses are quite spirited, perhaps biting might be a better word for some of the responses.

Unfortunately today we rarely sit around the coffee shop and openly.... candidly discuss the days events.  We are, for the most part, lucky to have the Patch and most of the various contributors, who seek the comments and opinions of others. Probably the most prolific contributor to the Palm Harbor Patch is Tim Brice.  Tim like “Doc” Webb has a decided political point of view.  While quite often I do not personally agree with their point of view, I appreciate their perspective.  I have to wonder why Tim has blocked people from commenting on his postings?  Or is Tim like Rush - right?
