Community Emergency Response. All Hands On
ASL Community Emergency Response Training at Saftey Town. DeafCert and Cert. State of Florida Emergancy collaboration for all individuals .
March 3 to 5, 2017 Saftey Town They came, they sat, they learned. All with one common goal, to be trained in the event of an emergency situation and how to assist others in a time of desperate need. Aqiservices.com a provider of Sign Language Interpreters along with All Hands On, www.allhandson.org. a non profit organization whose goal is to keep All people Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Hearing and those whom are disabled, safe. Caring for those who can not care for themselves, when tradgedy strikes.
This training the first of its kind and leader in the goal of Educational Saftey Experiances for The Deaf. Deaf individuals trained to be hands on serving the community, BECAUSE we all face the challenge and possibity of becoming a victim. Thanks to Saftey Town for the use of thier facilities and Corporal Tim Bullock for having the like vision over the couse of the 3 days FEMA (CERT): The Federal Emergency Management Agency Community Emergency Response Training guidelines were taught, followed and most of all experienced by the 30 particpants. They faced extingishing fires, taking care of wounds and began to understand the psychological impacts imposed in a time of crisis and how to respond efficiently and effectively in a Triage exercise.
This training will be repeated.
