St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral organizes this annual festival of religious reverence, folk dancing, and a tossing of the Holy Cross into Tarpon Springs Bayou -- to be retrieved by a teenage diver.
Start the day with a divine liturgy at 8am at the cathedral.
Then enjoy the traditional litany procession to the bayou (see attached map), for the blessing of the waters, release of a dove, and the cross dive at 1pm.

From 1:30pm to 9pm, enjoy Greek food, live music and dancing at Spanos Pappas Community Center, 348 N. Pinellas Ave.
NOTE: Because of the day's events, parts of Tarpon Avenue and Alternate U.S. 19 will be closed from about 8am to 2:30pm.
