All proceeds benefit Dollars for Scholars of St. Petersburg Scholarship Fund. The best female and male overall winners in this flat course each receive a $300 cash prize -- and will have a scholarship award named for them or a person of their choice, organizers say. There also are standard division awards.
Participants also enjoy a pre-race breakfast and a post- race party with live music, beer and vendors. Registrants receive T-shirts and completion medals.
Online registration closes at midnight March 23.
