“Kickstands up” and “engines on” between 10AM and noon on Saturday, November 5 for the Second Annual Suncoast Animal League Poker Run. Both cars and motorcycles are welcome to join this poker run. Participants will register at Fletcher’s Harley-Davidson in Clearwater 10AM - noon (17129 US 19 N) and travel to five locations in Pinellas County to draw their cards. Stops include Crabby Bill’s, Cop Shop, Tilted Kilt, and Eddie’s Bar and Grill. The last stop will be at Captain Jack’s, located off Alternate US 19 in Tarpon Springs (21 Oscar Hill Rd on the scenic Anclote River). Prizes will be awarded for the best hand, second best and worst hands - plus there will be “pot luck” drawings for those not winning a big prize. Scorecards are $10 for 1 or $25 for 3 which includes our fantastic event logo patch (while supplies last). Come for the after party even if you can’t attend the poker run to support the animals. There will be live music, food and drink specials, silent auctions, raffles, vendors and fun at the the after party which is being held at Captain Jack’s, a dog friendly, waterfront venue - beginning after 4PM. Prize packages include a Lightning Ticket/Dinner package, Multipark Disney tickets, and a 3 day stay at a Captiva Island Resort.
While you are at the “after party” you can meet Tony from Full Throttle Magazine and have your photo taken with Harley the Motorcycle Dog, or Suncoast’s Mascot, George the Goose.
All money raised will benefit the homeless, abused and abandoned animals at the “no-time limit” Suncoast Animal League, a non-profit shelter located in Palm Harbor, Florida.
