FBI Offers $10k Reward in Pinellas Armed Bank Robbery Cases
Pinellas County Sheriff's investigators believe the same man may be responsible for a string of recent bank robberies.

As the search for a suspected serial bank robber continues, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has stepped forward to sweeten the deal for anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday morning that the FBI is now offering up a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspect in the armed robbery spree.
The bank robberies in question total four in number and began to occur last December.

The latest robbery happened around noon April 3 when a man walked into the Fifth Third Bank at 10899 Park Blvd. and approached a teller. That man showed off a silver handgun while demanding cash, deputies say. With cash in hand, the man fled the bank.

The suspect in that case is described as a white male who is between 40 and 50 years old. He stands about 6-foot-1 in height and has a heavy build. The man has black-and-gray hair that is short, a goatee and a medium complexion.
Pinellas detectives say the man may also be responsible for the following robberies:
- Cadence Bank, 36301 U.S. 19 N. in Palm Harbor, Dec. 19
- Fifth Third Bank, 1703 McMullen Booth Road in Safety Harbor, Jan. 2
- Patriot Bank, 924 Palm Harbor Blvd. in Palm Harbor, Feb. 5.
Anyone with information about the suspect or the robberies is asked to call Det. Eugene Paniccia at 727-582-6200. Anonymous tips may also be reported through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
