Firefighters & Police Endorse Julie Peluso

Palm Harbor Fire Commissioner Julie Peluso is Endorsed By Fire & Police Groups for Re-election Bid.

Florida Professional Firefighters, Palm Harbor Firefighters and Fraternal Order of Police District 3, representing law enforcement members across the West coast of Florida, have endorsed Julie Peluso for her re-election as Palm Harbor Fire Commissioner, Seat 2. Jim Tolley, President/CEO of Florida Professional Firefighters, states that “we believe that you will continue to honorable serve the citizens of Palm Harbor, and the interests of the men and women employed in the Fire and Emergency Medical Services, who have made the protection of life and property their life’s work”. Tom Porter, Director of FOP-District 3, states that their unanimous decision was “Based upon your commitment to public safety and the desire to improve working conditions for law enforcement in Pinellas County”. Ryan Fisher, President of Palm Harbor/Oldsmar Professional Firefighters Local 2980 states "...you have been an asset to the Palm Harbor Special Fire Control and Rescue District and its citizens during your term in office."

Peluso is currently Vice Chairman of the Palm Harbor Fire Commission, serving residents in Palm Harbor, Crystal Beach, Ozona and Indian Bluffs Island since 2006. Besides being a Palm Harbor Fire Commissioner, Julie also serves on the Executive Board of Pinellas County’s EMS Advisory Council. Peluso is an Area Agency on Aging of Pasco/Pinellas Board Member, serving as Chairman of the Program Planning and Development Committee.

Fire Commissioner Peluso has received the Certified District Official Designation through Florida Association of Special Districts, completing years of public official education in the area of ethics, budgets, audits, district relations, union negotiations, legislative process and fire district priorities to name a few.

Professionally, Julie is a Real Estate Broker Associate Realtor, working in the Palm Harbor area for over 30 years. She is the past President/Owner of United Home Mortgage Corp.

Over the years, Julie Peluso has been deeply rooted in serving her Palm Harbor community - earning her the title of Palm Harbor “Woman of the Year” and receiving Curlew Hills Community Service Award in 2017. Peluso lives in the Highland Lakes community in Palm Harbor with her husband, Ken, a retired Chiropractor. They have two grown sons, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.
