Negative-Accentuated Training Yields Positive Results
Looking for long-lasting fitness results in a fraction of the time? Try negative-accentuated training.

We all want to lose weight, build muscle, and lead a healthier, more fit lifestyle. But, sticking to a restrictive diet or intensive work-out routine is unrealistic in the long-run. So many have found themselves putting the pounds back on (and then some) after the initial tease of success, causing them to feel defeated and give up. Is there a secret to keeping the pounds off for good?
When you diet, your body loses fat and muscle, which slows down the metabolism. When you stop dieting, the slower metabolism causes you to gain back more weight. And it is much easier to gain back fat than to put on muscle. More muscle is the key to burning calories and maintaining a healthier body, but most diet plans fail to find the balance between muscle-maintaining exercises and calorie-burning meal plans. Luckily, there is an exercise program located in Tampa Bay that has developed a way to stimulate muscle while losing fat, increase metabolism, and help keep lost fat off. Located in Palm Harbor, X-Force Body combines patented Swedish negative-accentuated training exercise machines with a meal plan and sleep regime to achieve optimal results.
More than 50 years of research has proven that negative-accentuated training has more muscle-building ability than positive-accentuated training and is much less stressful on your body. What exactly is negative-accentuated training? It refers to the downward, lengthening motion of any muscle-building exercise. Most exercises and trainers concentrate on the positive, or muscle contracting motions, such as curling a dumbbell, but a muscle can sustain much more weight when its lengthening than when its contracting. So, by slowing down and repeating the negative action, you can add additional muscle-building activities – and burn fat more quickly -- without switching machines or moves. It is so effective, in fact, that the X-Force Body program requires only two 30-minute workouts per week to achieve its results.

The key to the program’s success are the patented Swedish X-Force machines, which add up to 40% more resistance on the negative motions through unique 45-degree tilted weight stacks. The titled weight stacks put heavier negative resistance on the downward motions and increases the intensity of muscle exertion during each repetition, creating more strength gains and fat loss in less time. “X-Force makes a 40 to 50 percent more inroad on your muscles, compared with regular style training,” says Ellington Darden, PhD., Exercise Scientist and Developer of X-Force Body. “This deeper inroad stimulates key hormones that boost muscular growth and oxidize fat-cell content at a faster-than-normal rate.” What used to require four or five times a week workout to achieve now only requires two 30 minute X-force Body sessions per week.
Negative training puts more load on the muscles, so additional recovery time is needed than with traditional exercises. To help the body recover from training and optimize its muscle-building and fat burning abilities, X-Force Body adds three additional “Fat bombs” to the program: ice water consumption, extra sleep and rest, and a science-backed suggested eating plan. Consuming one gallon of ice water per day cools the body down and activates its fat-burning power. Enhanced rest and sleep repairs muscles and burns more calories. The suggested six-week eating plan includes small carbohydrate-rich meals and a reduced caloric intake over time. Combined with the negative-accentuated strength training, these components boost your body’s potential to build muscle and burn fat.
