PALM HARBOR, FL -- An off-duty Palm Harbor firefighter is facing driving under the influence charges after being pulled over by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Saturday, Nov. 17, shortly after 11 p.m.
Deputies say Jonathan Walker, 28, was driving 20 miles over the speed limit on U.S. 19 North just south of East Klosterman Road and drifting into other lanes, nearly hitting a passing car.
When deputies pulled Walker over, they noticed he had bloodshot, glassy eyes and a distinct smell of alcohol on his breath. He agreed to perform field sobriety tests, but deputies say he did poorly on them.
