Palm Harbor Man Sexually Battered Teen, Deputies Say

PALM HARBOR, FL — A 35-year-old Palm Harbor man was arrested Sunday after Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies say a witness saw him having inappropriate sexual relations with a teenager.

Jeffery S. Miller was charged with three counts of sexual battery – familial authority following an investigation that kicked off Sunday, the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to media. Miller, deputies say, turned himself into authorities after the witness confronted him about the alleged act.

“Detectives interviewed Miller and determined that there were multiple incidents where Miller had inappropriate sexual activity with the victim,” the email said.

The first incident, according to the agency, occurred in November 2014. Deputies say the teen, who is not being identified, is now 16 years old.
