Palm Harbor Woman Charged with Attempted Murder

The domestic-related shooting happened Monday morning.

A 50-year-old Palm Harbor woman faces attempted murder charges following a Monday morning shooting at her home on Cobblestone Drive.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies say Marianne Albergo shot her husband, Robert, 62, in both legs during a domestic dispute.

Deputies were called to the 2863 Cobblestone Drive home around 11:40 a.m. Robert Albergo told deputies he came home to find his wife armed with a gun. When he tried to enter the home, she pointed the gun at him and threatened to kill him.

Robert was initially able to talk his wife down, an email to media from the sheriff’s office stated, but the two ended up arguing. When they did, deputies say, Marianne fired the weapon, hitting Robert in both legs.

After being hit, Robert was able to wrestle the gun away from his wife. He left the home and asked his pool worker to call 911, the sheriff’s office email stated.
