A local community organization is doing its part to keep paperwork to a minimum, helping not only the environment but also giving its customers a more streamlined approach to registering for its many programs, classes and camps.
A new registration system called ReCPro has been activated by CSA Palm Harbor Parks & Recreation, the local entity tasked with managing many of Palm Harbor’s parks and several community facilities, including The Centre and the White Chapel/Harbor Hall.
“Now, anyone can register for a recreation program or youth camp without even leaving home,” comments Mathew Eberius, the agency’s Recreation Coordinator. A year ago, CSA Palm Harbor management sought to alleviate the registration system that was in place – which involved paper, paper and more paper. “We were getting long lines during camp registration times and then people wanted more detailed info on classes – now they can do and see everything with the click of a button, whether it’s from their PC, iPad or smart phone,” says Eberius.

The new system will allow current customers to login online and see past registrations, renew memberships and to register for new programs. Each activity is coordinated by a number and category, along with a search feature to find that perfect program. New users can browse without logging in, but to register, they will need to create an account.
As the agency moves forward with popular programs such as the Youth Flag Football League, online registration will be quite popular, according to recreation staff. Of course, participants can still drop in to the registration office at The Centre (1500 16th Street) to sign up for programs.
