Services 10 am Friday for Lee Roy Selmon

The Bucs legend died Sunday after suffering a stroke at his home Friday.

Services for former Tampa Bay Buccaneer and NFL Hall of Famer, Lee Roy Selmon will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Idlewild Baptist Church, 18371 N. Dale Mabry Highway in Lutz. 

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Exciting Central Tampa Baptist Church, 2923 N. Tampa St. 

Selmon will be buried in Oklahoma City.

at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. He suffered a stroke at his home Friday.  After he retired from the NFL, Selmon helped create the football program at the University of South Florida. He also owned a chain of restaurants bearing his name, the newest restaurant opened in June in Palm Harbor.

Fans will be able to honor Selmon at a temporary memorial at Raymond James Stadium. His family is suggesting that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Abe Brown Ministries (813) 248-3224 or the University of South Florida Foundation Partnership for Athletics (813) 974-2125.
