A few weeks ago, owner Louise Goetz told Palm Harbor Patch she was considering opening a new business nearby. We even chatted about a possible story about the new business. Then, when we saw that the Old Town Cafe had closed, we called Goetz. But, she has not yet gotten back with us.

We did notice that the restaurant's most recent inspection report dated May 30, 2012, said that the Old Town Cafe had been operating since February 1, 2012 without a current Hotel and Restaurant License. We do not know if the lack of a license had anything to do with the restaurant's closure.
