Daily Events: Innisbrook Transitions Championship

The Transitions Championship PGA TOUR will be held at Innisbrook from March 12-18.

Palm Harbor will become the center of the golfing world next week when the Transitions Championship comes to Innisbrook. The Transitions Championship is 72-hole official PGA TOUR event that will be televised on the Golf Channel and NBC and distributed to more than 210 countries.

Official tournament play begins Thursday and ends Sunday. 144 golfers will play 18 holes per day for a total of 72 holes per player.

The Championship offers many special events in addition to the PGA TOUR. You do not need to be a golf expert to attend, there will be a wide variety of activities.

Ticket prices are $30 daily if purchased before Sunday, March 11. Daily tickets will cost $40 during tournament week. Weekly ticket books are $79. Free admission for kids 15 and under. U.S. Armed Forces personnel will receive free admission. This includes active, reserve, Nartional Guard, and retired military service members and their dependents. A valid Common Access Card or Retired ID card is required at the gate for admission. Order tickets online.

Sunday, March 13 

  • Special Event: Think About Your Eyes Family Walk. Walk to benefit Prevent Blindness Florida featuring a chance to walk the course the pros play, a family BBQ, and entertainment by Radio Disney. 

Monday, March 14

  • Tournament Activity: The Shelton Quarles Celebrity Pro-Am Benefiting the IMPACT Foundation.
  • Special Event: Youth Wellness Day. Local school children visit the Transitions Championship and receive eye screenings, golf clinics and participate in interactive activities.  

Tuesday, March 15

  • Tournament Activity: Professional Practice Rounds
  • Special Event: Think About Your Eyes Pavilion Preview. Preview interactive activities and experiences in the Think About Your Eyes Pavilion while enjoying great views of the professional practice rounds.

Wednesday, March 16

  • Tournament Activity: Transitions Championship Pro-Am
  • Special Event: Youth Wellness Day. Local school children visit the Transitions Championship  and receive eye screenings, golf clinics and participate in interactive activities. 

Thursday, March 17

  • Tournament Activity: 1st Round -Transitions Championship
  • Special Event: Ladies Day. Special activities for ladies visiting the Transitions Championship

Friday, March 18

  • Tournament Activity: 2nd Round - Transitions Championship
  • Special Event: Improve Your Vision, Improve Your Game. Learn how healthy vision impacts athletic performance and get golf tips from PGA TOUR® swing coach Matt Killen. 

Saturday, March 19

  • Tournament Activity: 3rd Round - Transitions Championship
  • Special Event: Protect Your Skin, Protect Your Sight. Find out how to protect yourself from the sun while learning about the latest in performance sunwear. Visit the BayCare booth in the Think About Your Eyes Pavilion and receive skin screenings. 

Sunday, March 20

  • Tournament Activity: Final Round - Transitions Championship
  • Special Event: Healthy Lifestyles in Sight. Learn healthy living tips, receive screenings and access information about the connection between healthy sight and healthy lifestyles. Visit the BayCare booth in the Think About Your Eyes Pavilion and receive diabetes screenings.
