This month, Miami-Dade Parks is proud to participate in raising awareness for National Heart Month by providing our community members with ways to enjoy their local parks while also promoting an active lifestyle year-round. One of the most heavily recommended ways to promote heart health according to health officials is through physical activity. Miami-Dade County Parks is home to several walking and hiking trails available to the public in all zip codes across South Florida. You can find designated fitness zones at select parks, compromised of exercise equipment, making it easier  for residents of all ages to include a fitness regimen in their daily routine to stem off heart disease, obesity and other ailments, as well to live an overall healthy lifestyle.
