Aquatic Learning Camps at the Pass

John's Pass offers some great camps for eager learners looking to soak up some knowledge this summer.

Summer is coming up and parents are going to be looking for educational and fun activities to keep their kid's minds active over the three months of sun.

If your kids are interested in aquatic side of life, John's Pass might be the right stop.

The Pier Aquarium is putting on two different summer camps at John's Pass that are aimed to entertain and educate children during the summer months.

The first is the Dolphin Discovery Camp, lead by Dr. Ann Weaver, a researcher in dolphins. Kids will get the chance to observe and learn about different species of animals in their natural habitat while on a boat.

The camp is set up for nine to fourteen-year-olds and has three sessions, June 11-15, July 9-13 or August 6-10. Camps start at 9am and end at 5pm and there is a limit of 60 campers per session. The cost is $405 non-members and $365 for full Family of Four members at the Pier Aquarium.

For those looking to get out and get some fishing done, there are one, two, three, four and seven fishing excursions out in the Gulf. 

The dates are set starting with July 16 until the 22. Seven day excursion participants will experience all days of the excursions, including an overnight fishing trip.

Prices range from $144 to $605 depending on the excursion dates, if tackle needs to provided and if a membership for the Pier Aquarium is owned. For more info, check the Pier's website.
