Check out Chika and friends at Pinellas County Animal Services.

Meet Chika (#285848). This year old pointer and greyhound mix tips the scales at 45 pounds. Fun loving and active, she loves to chase down tennis balls, and occasionally brings them back to you! Don’t worry about her, though, she has a way of throwing them to herself when she wants to play. Being a mix of these two dog breeds, she’ll be able to move quickly and let you know exactly where she is going!
This May, you can pick up Chika – or any of the other pets up for adoption at Animal Services – for a $25 adoption fee. And, remember, every single one of the pets offered for adoption at Animal Services are spayed or neutered and have all of their required shots. And, this week, we are bursting at the seams with many adorable and adoptable pets to choose from!
Hurricane season is right around the corner. Do you have a plan of what you would do with your pet in the event of a hurricane? Birds, snakes, rabbits, lizards and other exotic pets need to be prepared just as sure as a cat or dog. Wondering how to get started? Visit www.pinellascounty.org/emergency/petpreparedness.htm to work on your plan.
Visit Chika and the other cats, dogs, puppies and kittens up for adoption at 12450 Ulmerton Road in Largo, or see them online at www.pinellascounty.org/animalservices/petfind.htm.
