Children's Hospital Benefits From Taste of Pinellas
More than 30,000 people attended the Taste of Pinellas fundraising extravaganza in St. Petersburg. Our video show how All Children's Hospital benefits from the dollars raised.
All Children's Hospital is dedicated to creating a healthy tomorrow for Tampa Bay children. One of its major fundraisers – The Taste of Pinellas – drew 30,000 visitors last weekend.
People sampled foods from more than 40 restaurants in the Tampa Bay region and enjoyed live performances by Sheryl Crow, Ziggy Marley and All American Rejects. It was all for a good cause.
Proceeds from the annual Taste of Pinellas fundraiser go to helping sick children in St. Petersburg and the Tampa Bay Region. The finaly tally on dollars raised will be announced in June.

All Children's Hospital treated more than 9,800 children last year with a staff of more than 250 pediatric physicians. In all, the hospital provides 43 medical and surgical programs, including a pediatric emergency center, heart center, pediatric cancer program and nationally designated Cystic Fibrosis Center.
Hospital History
The hospital was founded in 1926 as the American Legion Hospital for crippled children. The hospital has expanded and evolved over time. A newly rebuilt 259-bed hospital opened in January 2010; it not only focusses on health care but on advancing treatment, education, research and advocacy in children's health.
