There are many activities that come to mind when people think about the beach. Paramont among many is a lazy day at the pier fishing.

Redington Long Pier: With everything you need nearby and a great view of the ocean, it's hard to be Redington Long Pier for an extended day of fishing. If you're going after a big one, the length that it extends out into the water assures that you'll at least have the opportunity.
The Merry Pier surrounding area: The road into Pass-A-Grille is a calm and relaxing one. It's not hard to imagine sitting by the water and fishing the entire day away. If you do end up doing that, at least you're already in Pass-A-Grille, which has a wealth of great restaurants.

Sunset Park: This small park, nestled between Woody's and the Sloppy Pelican may not seem ideal for fishing, but it's great as a getaway spot. You can spend the day fishing and than easily walk to one of the close by restaurants for a drink and some grub.
These spots aren't going to guarentee you a huge catch, but rather a great atmosphere. If you have a great fishing spot that you love, let us know in the comments.
