: When Patch launched in the beaches last year, editors and freelancers ventured to local businesses to collect information for our directory. The result: Patch Places, a spot where users can find descriptions, hours, accepted payment methods and more for spots around town.

: The beaches are definitely a tourist destination. They're also among the best places in Pinellas. Visit St. Pete/Clearwater released their Best of awards and many beach locations were in the top five locations to go to.

: "The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is run almost completely off of volunteers' hard work. Countless hours of tireless rescues, cleanings and feedings are racked up on a daily basis for the dedicated individuals that help run the sanctuary. Some crew members stay as late as 9 o'clock at night. Together, the working hands agree that  it's all for one purpose: the birds.
