Lynyrd Skynyrd Coming to Tampa Bay

The legendary southern rockers perform in their home state for a concert at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Tickets go on sale Saturday.

Those free birds have not changed. That's right, Lynyrd Skynyrd – known for hits such as "Free Bird" and "Sweet Home Alabama" – will come home to their native Florida to roost.

The group added Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on Oct. 24 to their North American tour, reports TBO.com. Tickets go on sale at noon Saturday. They will go fast.

The group's members include Gary Rossington, Johnny Van Zant and Rickey Medlock. Their new album is "Last of a Dyin' Breed."

The tickets aren't cheap for this dyin' breed: $61 for reserved tickets, purchased at the box office, at 1111 McMullen Booth Rd., Clearwater, or by calling (727) 791-7400.
