Patch Minute: Pool Hunt, Sunny Fun and Rays

Pinellas Beaches
For the fifth year in a row, the St. Pete Beach Pool is hosting an underwater egg hunt. Kids can participate for $4 and bathing suits are a must since the hunt will take place in the pool. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the event runs for about an hour. After that, enjoy some rays from the sun and quality time by the pool until 3 p.m.

Gulfport
Peter Cottontail himself will be present at this year's "Fun in the Sun Day" in Gulfport. Parents, remember to bring the camera for this one. Kids will have the option to join in on an easter egg hunt, bounce around inflatable houses and jump in the driver's seat of their favorite vehicle. Ambulances, patrol cruisers and fire trucks will be on hand for the children to enjoy. It all starts at 10 a.m. at the Gulfport Recreation Center.

Downtown St. Petersburg
Show your support for the home team by attending the Rays Block Party on Central Avenue (between 13th and 15th St.). Although the game tickets are sold out, fans can enjoy the free block party event that is being hosted by the city. The celebration starts at noon and goes until 3 p.m., just before the first pitch. Live music, food, vendors and activities for the kids will be ongoing throughout the duration of the party.
