Photo and Fishing camps at St. Pete Beach Rec

Do your kids like photography or fishing? Get them signed up for a specialty camp!

Not every kids is going to want to hit up a camp that explores the great outdoors this summer. Some kids have special interests and that's what the St. Pete Beach Rec Center is exploring.

The St. Pete Beach Rec Center will be starting up two specialty this coming Monday.

There'll be two camps with one focused on photographic arts and the other focused on the beach's favorite past time, fishing.

The photo camp is for kids 8 and up and will focus on increasing their skills with digital photography. It'll go on Monday through Friday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.next week and take place at the Warren Webster Building at 1500 Pass-a-Grill Way.

The fishing camp is also for kids 8 and up and will teach kids about the environment, as well as how to bait and hook a line and fish like a pro. It'll be going on Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and will be at the St. Pete Beach Rec Center at 7701 Boca Ciega Dr.

Both camps cost $80 and children already enrolled in the W.A.V.E. or T.W.E.E.N.S. camps get special deals.
