Pinellas County Interim Utilities Director Becomes Permanent
Megan Ross, who has served as interim director of Pinellas County Utilities since late last year, has been named the department's director.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL -- Megan Ross, who has served as interim director of Pinellas County Utilities since late last year, has been named the department’s director effective Monday, Oct. 1.
Ross has been with Pinellas County for five years and has more than a decade of experience in public and private sector utility and engineering project management. She joined Pinellas County in 2013 as a technical project coordinator at the South Cross Bayou Advanced Water Reclamation Facility, having previously spent a number of years in the private sector. She was promoted in 2015 to wastewater treatment plant manager and again in 2017 to plant operations division director.
Ross assumed the role of interim utilities director leading the department since late 2017. She also served as primary facilitator for the Wastewater Stormwater Partnership.

“The customers of Pinellas County trust us to provide them with some of the most vital and valuable resources to our community, which is clean drinking water and sanitation services. I intend to continually improve upon our infrastructure and become a leading organization that sets a standard for superior public service in America,” said Ross.
She received her bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Florida in 2005, and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Florida.
