Pinellas Park Calls For Public Input On City Center Design Plan
Starting Monday and ending Friday, Pinellas Park will host a series of events to garner public feedback on its City Center Design Plan.

PINELLAS PARK, FL — Starting Monday, April 12, and ending Friday, April 16, the city of Pinellas Park will host a series of events to garner public feedback on its City Center Design Plan.

Monday, April 12

1:30 to 3:30 p.m. - Kick-off at McDevitt Park, 7601 60th St., Pinellas Park, with a site tour. Parking will be available at Park Station, 5851 Park Blvd. N. Pinellas Park.
5:30-7:30 p.m. - Kick-off workshop at McDevitt Park. Residents can meet the design team and share their thoughts on the City Center area and its potential. Pinellas Park will offer giveaways and free Kona Ice to attendees while supplies last.

Wednesday, April 14
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Halfway point design workshop at Park Station, 5851 Park Blvd. N. Pinellas Park. Residents will see the progress on drawings and designs, speak with designers and add their input into the design process.
Friday, April 16
Noon to 1 p.m. - Final design workshop and presentation at Park Station, 5851 Park Blvd. N. Pinellas Park.
Residents are invited to provide their feedback in a quick survey available here.
Residents can also comment on redevelopment, transportation, neighborhoods, arts and culture and trails and parks on an interactive map here.
The city of Pinellas Park City Center Plan and companion 78th Avenue Complete Street Plan will focus on:
- Public realm updates
- Smart economic growth and development of a City Center
- Improved infrastructure for bikes and pedestrians
- A more connected system of roads and thoroughfares
- Strategic planning for the evolution of Pinellas Park
Following this public participation phase of the plan, the city will begin drafting its plan for a new City Center using the input from the public. The proposed plan will then to be presented to the residents for comments and a final, revised plan will be approved by the city.
